Starting March 31, 2020 at 10:00 p.m., Pokémon Go fans will find the legendary Wealth Pokémon Demeteros in Tier 5 raids. The single-player Pokémon can be tackled by very few trainers. We have the counter-guide to Demeteros for you.

Pokémon Go developers will have the legendary 5th generation Pokémon Demeteros move into the game’s Tier 5 raids starting at 10:00 p.m. on March 31, 2020. The Pokémon of Wealth, or rather the earthy cloud racer, will remain there until April 21, 2020 at 10:00 p.m. Demeteros, as the master of agriculture, is a pocket monster of the types flight and ground, and that's why you should pack primarily water and ice Pokémon in your fighting team.

Under extremely ideal conditions, the Mon can be defeated with two high-level trainers, but it is better not to bet your money on it. That is why we have created a counter-guide for you so that you can optimally prepare for the raid boss Demeteros. By the way, Demeteros has the potential to knock all previous Earth favorites like Groudon or Rameidon off the throne. As a meta player, you should definitely secure at least one copy.

Pokémon Go: Demeteros as a raid boss

As mentioned, Demeteros is a pocket monster of the types ground and flight. That makes it double weak against ice attacks and simply weak against water attacks – so you know what to do ^^ Demeteros has two forms per se, the normal incanation form and an animal spirit form. In Pokémon Go, however, that doesn't make much difference, because Demeteros has the same abilities in both variants. However, you are fighting against the normal form.

The legendary Wealth Pokémon is boosted by windy and sunny weather, which will benefit from its immediate mud shot and Earth Force Charge attack in the sun – however, water and ice Pokémon will not take any special damage from ground attacks. Of the charge attacks, only the dragon attack tantrum can be boosted in windy conditions. But even with this, ice and water pocket monsters have no major problem. Under perfect conditions, two level 40 players can take on demeteros, but you can play it safe with three to five coaches at a high level – or with six to eight lower level players. In the fight against Demeteros, it is best to attack the following Pokémon with the following attacks:

  • Mamutel with powder snow and avalanche
  • Snibunna with ice spitter and avalanche
  • Glaziola with ice breath and avalanche
  • Mewtwo with psycho blade and ice jet
  • Rossana with ice breath and avalanche
  • Kyogre with cascade and blizzard
  • Porygon-Z with target shot and blizzard
  • Sumpex with aqua gun and aqua howitzer
  • Regice with ice cream and blizzard

You can also use the following fighters

  • Arctic with ice sod and jet of ice
  • Impergator with ice tooth and aqua howitzer
  • Austos with ice breath and avalanche
  • Impoleon with cascade and aqua howitzer
  • Lapras with ice sod and jet of ice
  • Frosdedje with powder snow and avalanche

Pokémon Go: Catch Demeteros

If you have successfully completed the fight against Demeteros and have the chance to put the pocket monster in your Poké Ball, Demeteros has level 20 with 100% IV values over 2,050 CP. If Demeteros is boosted to level 25 in the sun or windy weather, then it has 2,563 CP with perfect 100% IV values. We wish you much success in hunting!
