At the beginning of December, the Niantic team released the extensive Beyond update for Pokémon GO. One of the highlights at that time was a new maximum level for all trainers, which will be 50 and no longer 40. In the last few weeks, players from all over the world have struggled to be among the first coaches in the world to reach the new top tier. Two players reached this milestone on Monday.
Both benefited enormously from a mistake that Niantic had previously made. Several players from the Oceania region reported that their progress toward level 49 was reset. So far, the team has not revealed how this error came about in Pokémon GO. Compensation has also not yet been discussed. According to current reports, the trainers "FleeceKing" and "LaurenLolly" should now have been set directly to level 49 by the support – without having to do the three reset tasks again.
Because the new maximum level has been reached in Pokémon GO, we now know all the requirements that trainers have to meet in order to reach this level at the end. According to this, players must collect a total of 30 million more experience points, perform 999 fabulous throws, catch 5 legendary Pokémon in the next encounters with legendary Pokémon in a row, defeat 3 Team Go Rocket leaders with Pokémon under 2,500 WP and reach rank 20 in the GO Battle League. We give all readers daily free news, articles, guides, videos and podcasts on their favorite games. So far we have financed this site through advertising and kept it as free of clickbaits or paid items as possible, but since COVID-19 this has become increasingly difficult. Many companies are cutting or cutting their advertising budgets for 2020. Budgets that we unfortunately have to rely on if we want to continue to offer PC games free of charge as usual in the future.
For this reason we turn to you now. As a PC Games supporter, you can support us so that we can continue to offer our content in the usual form for free without introducing a paywall or publishing clickbait news like "And you won't believe what happened next …" . Every contribution, large or small, is valuable.
