The summer sun will turn on June 21, 2021 and there will be another event to celebrate in Pokémon Go, namely the solstice in 2021 – the summer version, mind you. With this, some pocket monsters tied to hemispheres change their spawn again. Most interesting is that an ex-EX raid boss will appear in the tier 5 raids.

Ex-EX-Raidboss Regigigas

Yep, after you recently enjoyed the legendary golem trio in the raids of Pokémon Go, Regigigas is now back in the raids. The special thing about it is the following: So far you could only get Regigigas through special research or EX raids. And the EX raids, you know, have been paused by the Pokémon Go makers since the global pandemic broke out.

Also new with the solstice of 2021 in Pokémon Go: With a lot of luck you can get Regigigas as a dazzling one. Regigigas will stay with you in the Tier 5 raids for a while after the end of the event, namely until July 1, 2021. So you don’t have to worry about missing the Mon.

More bonuses for the summer solstice

You can find all other content of the solstice event below. Of course, the date when it starts is also important: The solstice in Pokémon Go in 2021 starts on June 17, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. and ends on June 20, 2021 at 8:00 p.m. A bit strange considering the fact that the summer solstice itself doesn’t actually take place until June 21, 2021.
