In Pokémon Go, the hard-working players who complete the steps of the special research "A growing challenge" can get hold of a Super Rocket radar and thus get to the bottom of Team Go Rocket Boss Giovanni. To complete the special research completely, you have to defeat Giovanni – and in our counter-guide we tell you how to do it.

In Pokémon Go you can finally face Team Go Rocket Boss Giovanni after months of teasing, after you have already shown Arlo, Cliff and Sierra as part of the special research "A Long Shadow" who is the better trainer. You will then receive a Super Rocket radar and can use it to search for Giovanni. If you have agreed on his position at a PokéStop near you, then it gets down to business, because if you want to complete the special research, Giovanni not only has to track down and fight in the trainer fight, but also defeat it.

In our guide to Giovanni, we will briefly tell you which Pokémon the boss of Team Go Rocket goes to battle with and which pocket monsters you best counter them with. By the way: You will be able to meet Giovanni once a month in the future if you do the recurring special research. As soon as there are exact details, the steps are probably based on those of "A long shadow", you will find out from us.
