In a video presentation, The Pokémon Company, in the person of company president Tsunekazu Ishihara, presented the second DLC for Pokémon Sword & Shield for Nintendo Switch. Many scenes from the expansion pass were shown, the release date has already been set and is not too far off. There is also news about Pokémon Go and Pokémon Home.

Soon, in mid-November to be precise, the release of Pokémon Sword & Shield for Nintendo Switch for the first time. In the meantime, however, the pocket monster role-playing game has not been quiet, because The Pokémon Company expanded the game with "The Isle of Armor" in mid-June to include the first part of the paid expansion pass. You can find our test of the first DLC here. Now is part two with "Die Schneelande der Krone", it starts on 23 October 2020 (Friday). In a video presentation, Tsunekazu Ishihara, President of The Pokémon Company, gave some insights into the new expansion.

New areas, Pokémon and Co.

"The snow land of the crown" extends the Galar region with new areas that are characterized by freezing cold as well as loads of snow and ice. New adventures, new Pokémon, new NPCs and much more await you there. In Dynamax adventures, you will explore particularly deep Pokémon nests as a team of four and compete against them numerous legendary Pokémon the entire main game series. You also have the opportunity to catch the special little monsters after a successful fight

Also new: the Galar Star tournament. Here you can freely choose from all the coaches from the main game and the expansion pass that you met and compete with or against them. Another one has already started Pikachu action. In the near future it will be possible to collect eight different special Pikachus in Sword & Shield. You will receive them via codes that are published in various places, for example on Twitter. The first code for Ash's Pikachu with the iconic cap was given in the video: P1KACHUGET.

Pokémon Go and Pokémon Home

Ishihara also announced the support of Pokémon Go by Pokémon Home for the end of the year. This creates a direct connection between the world-famous mobile hit and the current generation of pocket monsters for the first time. If you combine both games with Pokémon Home, you can also expect special gifts.

Interesting for cartridge fans and collectors: Pokémon Sword & Shield will be released on November 6th (buy now € 159.99 ) as new retail versions including all DLC content. The latest Pokémon presentation was finally rounded off with an anime music video and a song by the Japanese rock band called "Bump of Chicken".
