Amazon announces surprisingly new “free” games for Prime Gaming. Members of the service will now have access to the full version of Battlefield 1: The first-person shooter will be available as a free download until August 4th. If you have secured the title by then, you will have permanent access and can play as often as you like – even after your Prime membership has ended. The same applies to Battlefield 5, which will be distributed “free” via Prime Gaming from August 2nd. Subscribers each receive a code for the Standard Edition, which can be redeemed on EA’s download platform Origin.

With Battlefield 2042, DICE is already creating the next part of the first-person shooter series: The new offshoot will be released on October 22nd on PC and consoles. Prime members thus have an ideal opportunity to get in the mood for the release of the new first-person shooter. Prime Gaming already had the Free full version of Battlefield 3. In June, the service (formerly Twitch Prime) distributed the Ego-Shooter Battlefield 4.

By the way: The service is currently also giving away full versions of LucasArts: The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition is currently available “free”, the classic Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis will follow on August 1st, and Sam & Max will be available on September 1st : Hit the Road as an inclusive game with a Prime membership. The monthly subscription costs 7.99 euros, the annual membership is available for 69 euros. New customers can use the Try Prime Service for free for one month.
