A programmer actually managed to get the shooter Doom to work on a digital pregnancy test. Even the intro of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim can be played on it.
What to do while waiting for the pregnancy test result? How about a round Doom or Skyrim to play on the test device?
Gambling on the pregnancy test
Of course, this only works on digital devices that have a corresponding display. Modern pregnancy tests no longer show on the basis of a strip whether a baby is on the way, but rather show on a display whether the woman is pregnant or not. It goes without saying that the Doom modding community wanted to use this display to play the shooter on it. After all, id Software's classic also runs on iPods, cash registers and even refrigerators with digital displays.
Programmer foone now showed a video in which he actually plays Doom on a pregnancy test. To do this, he connected an external keyboard to the test. After all, you have to somehow control the character and a digital pregnancy test offers a lot of technology but no input option. Of course, the display only shows graphics in black and white and no sound can be heard. Nevertheless, Doom is playable on the display with 128×32 pixels.
But that's not all, foone even managed to run the intro of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim on a pregnancy test – even if you barely see anything on the display. The programmer plans to publish guides soon that will show everyone how to get Skyrim and Doom to work on a pregnancy test. In addition, foone wants to optimize the games a bit so that they run stable.
However, you should be prepared for the fact that you will have to tinker with the pregnancy test a little. But then it says: honey, it will be a dovakhiin.
