PS Plus Collection: Sony does not yet know whether new games will expand the collection – Gamesaktuell
For the launch of the PS5, Sony has prepared a small bonus for PlayStation Plus subscribers. The PS Plus Collection gives you access to numerous highlights of the PS4 era, which can be played completely at no additional cost. In an interview with GQ, PlayStation boss Jim Ryan has now spoken about the future of the collection. Accordingly, Sony itself has no plan as to whether there will be more titles for the PS Plus Collection soon.
The main rationale behind the collection, initially, was to allow early PS5 buyers to catch up on some games they may have missed in the previous generation. According to Jim Ryan, Sony would now like to see how well the range of the PS Plus Collection is received by fans. Last week, the CEO indicated that Sony is definitely thinking about a model that is similar to the Xbox Game Pass. There should be news about this soon.
However, we can only speculate about what those responsible have planned. In addition to the PS Plus Collection, Sony also offers PlayStation Now. The service, which started as a streaming service, now also offers the option of downloading all PS4 titles from PS Now directly. Below is a list of the current PS Plus Collection.
