Sony revealed important details about new games in a video at CES, but the PS5 manufacturer is now backing down. Was it a mistake? The spontaneous change leaves players confused.
Update from January 20th 2021: During CES, Sony unveiled a new video that made gamers look wide. Shortly before the end, Sony announced the release dates of some highly anticipated games in a footnote. Now, however, the PS5 manufacturer rowed back. A slightly revised version of the clip was uploaded to the official YouTube channel, in which almost all information about the upcoming game releases has disappeared. Only the dates for Ratchet & Clank, Horizon: Forbidden West and Returnal can still be seen, all other information has been completely removed.
The change causes confusion for the players. Does that mean the games that have disappeared from the footnote will be delayed even further? Sony has not yet officially announced a reason for the change. It is also possible that the publication of this information was not planned at this point in time and that the data was therefore deleted from the new version.

Shifts & vague statements: Sony changes release dates of PS5 games
Especially the information about the new Ratchet & Clank and Horizon Forbidden West should raise eyebrows for some players. Previously, Sony announced more specifically that Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will be released in the first half of 2021, while Horizon will only be launched in the second half of the year. Maybe the dates will be postponed a bit.
And what will be coming this year for the PlayStation 5? Here is the overview:
The targeted starting shot for pragmata has also been postponed. Capcom's game was originally due to be released in 2022, but the development team seems to need a little more time. The release is now planned for 2023. Square Enix ‘Project Athia, on the other hand, had no official release window before, the footnote of the presentation now mentions January 2022.
You can tell that Sony has some high-profile PS5 up its sleeve, but the fans will still have to be patient.
