Finally: Sony presents new details and first games for the new console at a PS5 event. Fans were given a first look at the design of the PlayStation 5 in a video stream. Visually, the design matches the DualSense controller that was introduced a few months ago: The housing comes in a bold look with a white-black color scheme and blue LEDs. Featured games include Gran Turismo 7, Horizon Forbidden West, and a remake of Demon's Souls. In our survey we want to know: How did you like the event on PlayStation 5?
Sony presents in a stream "The future of gaming" new details and first games for PS5. At the end of the approximately one-hour event, the publisher surprised with the design of the PlayStation 5: fans were therefore able to take a first look at the hardware. The sweeping design is reminiscent of the look of the previously presented DualSense controllers in white and black colors and blue LEDs. The console will be available in two versions: a standard model with an Ultra HD Blu-ray drive and a purely digital model without a disc drive.
However, the focus of the event was on the games. In the PS5 stream, Sony showed a lot of the first games that should be released for PlayStation 5. You can find trailers and articles on the individual games in our news overview. For example, Sony introduced Gran Turismo 7, Horizon Forbidden West and a remake of Demon's Souls. In addition, the release of GTA 5 on PS5 has been confirmed: The open-world hit by Rockstar Games should also be available on the new Sony console in the second half of 2021. Resident Evil 8 Village, Hitman 3 and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart were also introduced.
In our survey we want to know from you: How did you like the event? In the following voting you will also vote on your game highlight and the design of the PlayStation 5. The poll runs through June 17th. You will find an evaluation of the voting on our website afterwards. The PS5 is expected to be launched at the end of the year. So far, Sony has not given a specific release date. A price is also currently not clear.
