In a recent trailer, Sony presents the most important aspects of the PS5 that contribute to immersion. These include a fast SSD, which should significantly reduce loading times. Sony also puts the Tempest 3D AudioTech engine in the spotlight in the commercial. In a recent blog entry, developers from Spider-Man, Horizon Forbidden West, Resident Evil 8 Village and more present the advantages that the PS5 hardware brings with it. The new console is expected to hit the market at the end of the year. A final release date has not yet been set.

Sony presents in a current Commercial the benefits of the PS5 moves forward – and brings to the fore the features that contribute to immersion. Among other things: an SSD memory, which should reduce loading times to a minimum. The soundscape is also becoming more and more important in current and future game developments. For the PlayStation 5, Sony promises "the future of gaming" and a unique sound experience with the Tempest 3D AudioTech engine.

In a recent entry on the PlayStation blog, the developers of the first PS5 games go into the new technologies – and describe the advantages of the PlayStation 5. "In addition to ultra-short loading times and fast in-game movement, the SSD enables us to provide more detailed resources faster to load and display, making the city look better than ever – and that's just the first step into a world of opportunity for our team, "said Brian Horton, Creative Director at Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

Gavin Moore, Creative Director at Japan Studios (Demon's Souls), comments on the PS5: "As developers (of Demon's Souls) we are already changing the way we think about SSDs. We no longer see SSDs as just a storage medium , but also as memory, and use their speed to load data at breathtaking speeds. " Mathijs de Jonge, Creative Director for Horizon Forbidden West: "With the Tempest 3D AudioTech sound engine on the PS5 console, we can now reproduce sounds in such a way that players can more easily find the machines around them. Also Jun Takeuchi, executive producer for Resident Evil 8 VillageSaid about the PS5's audio engine, "Audio is a vital part of bringing the next generation experience to the PS5. It almost seems like 3D AudioTech was designed specifically for horror games. In the past, gamers spent a lot of time and money invest to maintain this spatial sound.
