Bethesda will host QuakeCon this year as a digital event. Between August 7th and 9th fans can look forward to some news. The makers have also planned several surprises. In addition to the revelations, there will also be e-sports tournaments and other activities as part of the "QuakeCon at home".
After the people in charge at Bethesda canceled this year's QuakeCon because of the coronavirus pandemic in early April, the company will now celebrate with its fans in the form of a digital event. The "QuakeCon at home" has now been announced via Twitter and will take place between 7 and 9 August 2020. The organizers have already revealed the first details of the event.
Accordingly, players can look forward to various live streams, e-sports tournaments and also some surprises. Bethesda would like to announce further details in the coming weeks. We will of course keep you up to date in this regard.
The 25th edition of QuakeCon would actually have taken place this year. The event will return in its old form next year. Those responsible have already confirmed this. The main focus of QuakeCon 2019 was Doom Eternal, which was released this year for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. We do not yet know what we will see in 2020.
