Many retailers such as Amazon or Media Markt will probably save the biggest discounts and best deals for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Nevertheless, we also expect a wealth of offers and promotions on Singles Day where you can save a lot – discounts between 10 and 30 percent are probably realistic. Last year over 50 online shops took part in Singles Day, and there will probably be a few more in 2020. The most important are:

  • Amazon: Last year the Singles Day at Amazon ran under the motto “surprise offers”, 2020 it could look similar. However, you can already get good deals on Amazon, because they are already there Black Friday early deals started.
  • MediaMarkt: The Singles Day campaign page is already online, as is the first warm-up deals. The retailer has announced that members of the free MediaMarkt Club will “save the most” and receive exclusive offers throughout Black November.
  • Saturn: There is also a Singles Day page at Saturn, the electronics retailer will be offering an 11 percent discount on many products, but probably only for Saturn Card holders.
  • Lidl: The discounter Lidl is also there, the first countdown offers are already available on the campaign page.
  • Otto: Last year there was an 11 percent coupon on fashion. Let's hope that 2020 will see a little more.
  • devil: The audio expert from Berlin presents the "top offers of the year" on Singles Day.
  • Cyberport: There were 111 deals for Singles Day in 2019, this year there may be even more.
  • eBay: There are no offers online yet, but we assume that eBay will also open on 11.11. will bring some good singles day deals.
  • Galeria Karstadt Kaufhof: 22 percent discount on almost everything – in 2020 it is worth taking a look at the Galeria offers.
  • Alibaba, AliExpress, Gearbest and other China shops: this is where most of the things will be going on on Singles Day. However, the offers for the European market can only be recommended to a limited extent, as they can involve long delivery times, possible customs duties and costly returns.

What is Singles Day?

Anyone who thinks that Black Friday is the day with the highest turnover for online retail is wrong: Singles Day flushes even more money into the coffers – especially in China – and is therefore considered to be the biggest shopping day in the world. As a day for single people, it originated in some Chinese universities in the 1990s and then became a tradition that numerous retailers jumped on – especially the Chinese online retailer Alibaba, but now also many large and small shops in this country.
