Another leak in the database of the Epic Games Store could now be a Project that may be coming to PC soon. Accordingly, Remedy should apparently work on Alan Wake Remastered. But there are no further details.

Alan Wake was first released for Xbox 360 in 2010, before making its way to PC two years later. For some time now, rumors have been circulating about a successor to the title, which is to be developed together with Epic Games. Cooperation between the two companies was confirmed as early as March 2020. A remaster by Alan Wake would make sense if a sequel to the now eleven-year-old thriller by Remedy is actually planned. Most recently, the studio was responsible for the development of Control. Alan Wake even made a guest appearance in one of the two expansions of the game. A confirmation from Alan Wake 2 is still pending.

Shortly before the leak about Alan Wake Remastered, references to Final Fantasy 7 Remake appeared in the database. Square Enix RPG is currently available exclusively on PS5 and PS4. A release for the PC would only be possible after the expiry of the exclusivity in December 2021. It is then not entirely unlikely that the title will initially only be available in the Epic Games Store, because the new PC versions of Kingdom Hearts have so far only been offered by Square Enix in the Epic Games Store.
