The release date for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 on Xbox Series X has been set. As Microsoft announced at E3 2021, the flight simulation will be available for consoles on July 27th. Members of the Xbox Game Pass can get into the cockpit directly on the launch day – the MS Flight Simulator is part of the game flat rate from day one. Microsoft promises that players expect “the same level of detail and depth of simulation as in the PC version”.
The announcement says: “Powered by satellite data and cloud-based AI, you can explore the entire planet in amazing detail and land at over 37,000 airports. 2 million cities, 1.5 billion buildings, real mountain ranges, roads, trees, Rivers, animals, realistic traffic and much more. ” In addition, Microsoft has announced that it will work with partners on external flight peripherals, which will be released for Xbox Series X and which will improve the flight experience on consoles. Specific details about the accessories are not yet available.
Finally, the makers announced a Top Gun expansion for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 (buy now 69,99 € ) in collaboration with Paramount Pictures.
