Release for Nintendo Switch is currently not an issue at the studio
According to a recent interview, there will probably be no version of The Division 2 for Nintendo Switch in the future. Creative Director Yannick Banchereau of Massive Entertainment confirmed this. The shooter for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One has been available in stores since February 2019. A major expansion has recently appeared with Warlords of New York.
The Massive Entertainment team was interviewed about the possible implementation of The Division 2 for Nintendo Switch. However, it does not look likely that the shooter will appear for this console in the foreseeable future. According to creative director Yannick Banchereau, the studio currently has no plans.
"Even if we always enjoy working with new technology and following the evolution of the industry, we currently have no plans to make" The Division "for Switch."
Even if the Nintendo Switch is not at the level of the PS4 or Xbox One in terms of performance, developer studios have already managed to bring demanding games like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt onto the system. Doom Eternal and Obsidian's The Outer Worlds will also be released for the console soon.
The team was also asked about a version for the next-gen consoles. The makers of Massive Entertainment have held back here too.
