Since an employee at Kojima Productions tested positive for COVID-19, the developers of Death Stranding and Hideo Kojima also currently have to work from home. The studio has now announced that the release of the PC version will be a little late.
The PC version of the open-world game Death Stranding was originally supposed to be released on June 2, 2020, but according to the Twitter post, Kojima Productions cannot meet the deadline. It will take some time for the development.
However, the fans do not have to wait very long, because this is only about a few weeks. The game is now expected to be released on July 14, 2020.
Following the temporary closure of KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS, we have had to delay the PC launch of DEATH STRANDING to July 14, 2020, to allow more development time amidst the current work-from-home orders in place. Death Stranding: PC release known – head crabs included
After a few months of PS4 exclusivity, Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding is also coming onto the market for the PC. The new PC version even offers a few technical upgrades and new content.
Death Stranding will be released on June 2, 2020 on Steam and in the Epic Games Store and can already be pre-ordered. A short trailer also introduces the new content.
The PC version of the babysitter / parcel carrier simulator from Hideo Kojima gets one higher frame rate donated, which then also on Ultra wide monitors can be admired. In terms of content there is one Photo mode and a bit Crossover content with half-life. Whether the chic crab hat is actually in the game or just a gag for the trailer – we'll see.
There is also one extended soundtrack and a digital artbook, such as Cosmetics that can be unlocked in the game. For pre-orders, there are more cosmetics and a few HD wallpapers.
Have you already played Death Stranding on PS4 or are you eagerly waiting for the PC release?
