The activation of the Open Beta for Resident Evil Resistance on PS4 and PC (Steam) has been delayed. As Capcom announced in a recent Twitter post, technical problems prevent smooth gameplay. Above all, the matchmaking system should not work as we intended. The open beta of Resident Evil 3 Remake's multiplayer mode on Xbox One is not affected – and can be continued. It remains to be seen when the trial version will finally be available on PS4 and PC. Capcom has not yet given a new time or date.
A few days before the release of the Resident Evil 3 remake, Capcom released an open beta on Resistance. This gives players the opportunity to test the multiplayer mode of the new edition in advance. The activation on PS4 and Xbox One took place this morning. However: Capcom had to withdraw the launch on PS4. Shortly after starting this morning, the publisher shared via the short message service with that there are matchmaking problems in the PS4 version. "We are working on a solution to the problem," wrote the publisher. So users mostly had problems finding players in Resident Evil Resistance.
A few minutes ago, another followed on Twitter Update from Capcom. "The Resident Evil Resistance Open beta on PS4 and Steam is delayed due to technical issues." The Xbox One version is not affected and can continue to be played. "We are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. We will keep you updated," said Capcom.
It remains to be seen when the open beta of Resident Evil Resistance on PS4 will return – and when the steam release will take place. The console version was scheduled to start at 8 a.m. this morning. The Steam version should not start until 6 p.m. The publisher has not yet given a new date. The end of the open beta is scheduled for April 3. The full version of the Resident Evil 3 remake is released on the same day. The new edition is available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
