After the nightly Resident Evil 8 Village Showcase, there are technical details about the different console versions of the upcoming survival horror adventure. Accordingly, Resident Evil Village offers the same resolutions and frame rates on PS5 and Xbox Series. The game runs in 4K HDR at 60 frames per second. If players activate ray tracing, the frame rate adapts to 45 fps. We show you an overview for all consoles of the current and the last generation. On the Xbox Series S, gamers get a resolution of 1440p HDR at 45 fps. Ray tracing is also possible here, but also with an adjusted frame rate of 30 fps.

When it comes to last-gen consoles, the original Xbox One and Xbox One S do the worst. Here Resident Evil Village runs in 900p resolution with 30 frames per second. Xbox One X owners can choose between FullHD resolution of 1080p at 60 fps or 4K HDR resolution at 30 fps if they have a 4K television set. It looks similar on the PS4 and PlayStation 4 Pro. There were also new details about a second demo for Resident Evil 8 Village during the showcase. PlayStation players have an advantage here. On the PS5 and PS4, the period for the playable demo starts on April 18 from 7:00 p.m. to April 19 at 3:00 a.m. for the village demo with 30 minutes of playing time. The Castle Demo runs from April 25th at 7:00 pm to April 26th at 3:00 am. All platforms – including Xbox and PC – will start the Village and Castle demo on May 2nd from 2:00 a.m. for 24 hours. Players have a total of 60 minutes each for both levels.
