The people in charge of Netflix have released the first trailer of the animated series Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness. It is also clear that the series will premiere on Netflix in the coming year.
We have known for almost a month that those responsible at Netflix have a Live action series set in the universe of Resident Evil have commissioned. Robert Kulzer (producer, Resident Evil films) and Andrew Dabb (showrunner, Supernatural) are supposed to be responsible for the eight episodes of the first season, about an hour long.
A few days ago, a trailer for a second RE project from Netflix went online: the anime series Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness. The 67 second long video shows – surprise – a dark, lonely mansion, in which things are not right. We also (very likely at least) see well-known characters from the franchise such as Claire Redfield, Chris Redfield and Leon Kennedy.
Looks really good or what do you think? The animated "horror series with science fiction elements" should start on Netflix as early as next year. As soon as there is more information about the two RE productions, we will of course keep you up to date.
