Professional skateboarder Jason Dill spoke in a podcast about a new game by Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and a mobile version of Skate 3, both of which are currently in development. EA is still said to have no plans for Skate 4 – despite the fact that fans have expressed a wish for a successor for years.
Skateboard simulation fans may be able to look forward to supplies in the near future. According to current rumors, new games from Skate and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater are in development. However, the supposed announcement around skate will probably not be what fans have been wanting for many years.
In a podcast, professional skateboarder Jason Dill revealed that Electronic Arts contacted him about a mobile version of Skate 3 ten months ago. And he doesn't seem to be completely satisfied with it either. After EA's request, Jason Dill wanted to know if there was anything else – a hint whether a successor might be under development. However, this does not seem to be the case. Jason Dill subsequently declined to cooperate with the following message.
"No, big deal, no one wants your stupid mobile versions of Skate 3. Make Skate fucking 4 already. Just do it."
In 2010, Skate 3, the last offshoot of the simulation, was released. For years, fans of Skate 4 have wanted a real successor to the game. So far there are no indications. An announcement from Skate 3 Mobile could have similar consequences for EA as the Blizzard debacle with Diablo Immortal at BlizzCon.
In addition to Skate 3, Jason Hill also spoke about a new Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, which is expected to appear in 2020. There have been several rumors about a new game in the past. In 2019, professional skateboarder Lizzie Armanto spoke in the same podcast about appearing in a new Tony Hawk title. The band "The Death Set" recently announced that five of their songs were licensed for a skateboard game with Tony Hawk. We will keep you up to date in this regard.
