In the animated series Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045, Kenji Kamiyama and Shinji Aramaki (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex from 2002) kidnap us into their dystopian vision of 2045: Section 9 goes back to headed by full cyborg Motoko Kusanagi the fight against cyber crime. The anime series starts on April 23, exclusively on Netflix. Here you can watch the final trailer.

Ghost in the Shell is certainly known to all manga and anime fans. The original by Masamune Shirow from 1989 has since been implemented or expanded several times as a series, game or film, and especially the anime implementation by Mamoru Oshii from 1995 is considered an important milestone of the sci-fi anime.

As of April 23, a new chapter within the "Ghost in the Shell" universe will be opened on Netflix. For Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045, Kenji Kamiyama and Shinji Aramaki are responsible for the two heads who had already done Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex from 2002. The new Netflix Exclusive series is set to play 13 years after the events of Stand Alone Complex: Led by full cyborg Motoko Kusanagi, Section 9 is once again fighting cybercrime. There is also a reunion with Bato and Togusa. The music comes from Nobuko Toda, who previously worked on the soundtrack of Metal Gear Solid.

Back in March, those responsible at Netflix released the final trailer for Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045:
