The Witcher is definitely getting a second season. In this showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich wants to put even more value on the story. The new episodes are supposed to be more focused and the actual story to come even further into the middle ground.

Season One reviews on the Netflix series The Witcher are currently somewhat mixed. Among other things, it is criticized that the story is not quite as focused. That should change with Season 2.

Story will be more focused

"The great thing about season two, as I can tell you, is that the story gets a lot more focused in what we wrote. The story has a stronger drive because all the relationships we built in season one are in the second season is actually starting to bear fruit, "says showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich.

We will also see the three main characters, Geralt, Ciri and Yennefer, together. Their distribution across much of the first season has also been criticized. So we can look forward to a tighter narrative for Season 2. It is currently unknown when we will see Season 2 of The Witcher, but production of the new episodes should start quite soon.
