Are fans of Altered Carbon – The Immortality Program present? We have great news for you! The second season of the entertaining Netflix series finally has a release date! From February 27th, we will again dive into a dystopian future in which it is possible to transfer your consciousness and memories to other bodies.
For the author of these lines, the first season belongs to Altered Carbon – The immortality program to the biggest highlights of the "Originals" portfolio of the streaming provider Netflix. The first ten episodes of the SciFi series, which is based on the book "The Immortality Program" by Richard Morgan, are as classy as they are staged, have a suitable cast and offer some great moments and remarkable ideas. The plot takes us into a dystopian future:
"Mankind has managed to separate body and mind from each other. A person's memories and thoughts can be digitally stored in a so-called cortical stack forever and move from body to body. But there are still murder cases. One of them is supposed to be educate former elite soldier Takeshi Kovacs (played by Joel Kinnaman and Will Yun Lee), so after centuries of deep sleep his mind is reactivated and put in a new body. "
The series was so well received that there was already an announcement for a second season in July 2018. But only now have those responsible at Netflix announced the release date for the new episodes: It starts on February 27!
However, no new details for the second season were revealed. It is only known that from then on Anthony Mackie (Falcon in several films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe) should play Takeshi Kovacs. Actually a shame, because we really liked Joel Kinnaman (RoboCop, Suicide Squad) in the role. Nevertheless, we are looking forward to the second season. You too?
