Another skateboard simulation will find its way onto the console this year. According to Easy Day Studios, Skater XL will be released later this year on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. So far, the game is only available for the PC. The title differs from other simulations especially in the area of control. Each foot is controlled by one of the two analog sticks on your controller.
Skater XL has been an early access title since December 2018 Steam available. This year, the skateboard simulation from Easy Day Studios is now to appear on other platforms. In the PlayStation Blog, the creators have announced an implementation of the title for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. According to those responsible, it is also the first skateboard simulation in ten years that will be available on all platforms. In keeping with the announcement, Easy Day Studios have also released a new trailer for Skater XL.
The special feature of Skater XL is the control, in which the two analog sticks on the controller represent one foot. This method gives players complete freedom on the skateboard. There should be no pre-made animations for tricks. The creators already have some in the post on the PlayStation Blog Examples presented what this unique Skater XL control looks like in action.
The Easy Day Studios team has not yet given a fixed date for the simulation. But it should happen sometime "later in the year". If you don't want to wait for the console implementation, you can get Skater XL on Steam for the PC. With the release, two skateboard simulations for the console will appear this year. Only a few weeks ago it was also known that Session in spring 2020 will be available for Xbox One.
