This year's "Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day" day in the USA is likely to fall into the water for many companies this year. Blizzard Entertainment employees came up with something creative for this special day to keep the little ones (and the big ones!) Entertained.

The hashtag #stayathome Social media has been dominating for several weeks now. This request during the Corona crisis to stay at home is not limited to leisure activities – many jobs are also affected, which is why companies send their employees to the home office for security. However, that was the "Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day" day that the United States celebrates on April 23 each year to give children an insight into the world To create the world of work. Since Blizzard Entertainment employees have also been in the home office since mid-March, the Californians came up with creative ways to bring the kids closer to their work at Blizzard.

Bedtime stories from Chris Metzen

The artist and art director Samwise Didier filmed a total of three different videos, each depicting an orc, a dwarf and a pandaren. The drawings and explanations are very simple but entertaining so that the children have no difficulty in drawing. But even for adults who like to swing their pencils, these instructions are super easy to copy and in no time their own character is on the sheet of paper! Whoever has the creative motivation, can of course also download the PDFprovided by Blizzard's Art Studio. This includes even more of these simple instructions on how to draw a tauren or a murloc, for example.

One of the most famous minds at Blizzard Entertainment and WoW, Senior Vice President Chris Metzen, also recorded a video and uploaded it to YouTube. In this 5-minute video, he reads from his own children's book "Snow Fight: A Warcraft Tale" and takes the young and old into a snowball fight between Arthas, Thrall and Varian.

The current crisis situation makes us all a bit more creative, be it to keep ourselves busy or to keep the children busy. We find the ideas of Blizzard employees particularly sweet, especially since they also let us share fans around the world.

What do you think of these videos? Do you show them to your children? Or have you already used pencil and paper to draw your favorite orc? Let us know in the comments!
