To make it easier for PS4 players to stay at home, Sony announced the "Play At Home" initiative. But there are not only games for free, but also for help for indie developers.

In the official PlayStation blog presented YOU President Jim Ryan "Stay At Home" initiative in front. This consists of two parts, on the one hand PS4 players are currently being given two games, and on the other hand a fund for indie developers is to be set up.

From April 15 to May 5, 2020 get PS4 players Journey and Knack 2 for free download. Once downloaded, the games are yours. Especially the atmospheric journey can help to forget your own four walls.

The Platformer Knack 2 is only available for players in Germany and China, everyone else gets Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection.

Help for indie developers

To support its own indie partners, Sony will set up a fund to help them through this financially difficult situation. It says:

“Indie developers are the heart and soul of the gaming community and we understand the difficulties and financial problems that small studios are currently facing. She has created a fund to support them during this time. We will provide $ 10 million to support our indie partners. ”

It is not yet known whether the "Play At Home" initiative will be followed by other free games.
