Fans of the classic Space Jam won't have to wait long for the successor. Instead of basketball legend Michael Jordan, we will now see LeBron James on the big screen as the new Looney Tunes player in Space Jam: A New Legacy. In the run-up to the launch, the first images from the film have now been published. Most recently, a trailer for HBO Max showed a few seconds of moving images from the sequel. We have included the photos below.

The pictures also give us a first look at the new look of Bugs Bunny. The group of Looney Tunes can be seen in the film in chic CGI optics and 3D. Additional details on the history of Space Jam 2 were also revealed. The focus is on the tense relationship between LeBron James and his son Dom. The teenager would rather develop video games than follow in his father's footsteps. In his spare time he creates an artificial intelligence called AI G Rhythm.

Because Dom wants to have some of his father's followers on his own channel, he brings himself and LeBron James into a virtual reality of Warner Bros. In order to escape from there, however, they have to play a basketball match with the Looney Tunes against AI G Win rhythm. In Germany, Space Jam: A New Legacy is slated to open in cinemas on July 15, 2021. Because of the pandemic, there could be delays in the short term.
