Spider-Man fans: Miles Morales can look forward to new details about the game shortly before the weekend. Marvel Games and Insomniac Games talked about the story of Miles Morales, among other things, in an interview. A new screenshot for the PS5 title was also shown, which gives us a glimpse of the game's ray tracing support, among other things. The spinoff will appear at the end of the year.

Marvel Games and the Insomniac Games team revealed new details on Spider-Man: Miles Morales on Thursday. After some misunderstandings about the scope of the game shortly after the announcement, Creative Director Brian Horton confirmed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that it will be a complete story with Miles Morales. The events of the title are set this time in winter – a year after Spider-Man for PlayStation 4.

As the game progresses, Peter Parker will appear again and again as Miles Morales' mentor and teacher. Nevertheless, according to Imsoniac Games, Miles is "his own Spider-Man" with unique animations, movements and skills. Brian Horton also made it clear that Spider-Man: Miles Morales is not a sequel to the 2018 game. The creators have also published a new screenshot that gives us a foretaste of ray tracing, among other things.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be available exclusively on PlayStation 5 later this year. Bill Rosemann from Marvel Games also spoke in the interview about the connection between the individual Marvel games. Accordingly, the titles are not directly linked to one another as in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This should give developer studios as much freedom as possible for their game. Spider-Man from the PS4 title of the same name will therefore have nothing to do with the announced Spider-Man in Marvel's Avengers.
