Even before the first episodes of the series Star Trek: Picard can be seen, the US broadcaster CBS has now confirmed that a second season has been ordered. Jean-Luc Picard will be with us a little longer.

From January 23, 2020 we can see the new adventures of Jean-Luc Picard in the series Star Trek: Picard see through Amazon Prime. Fans can be happy because the TV station CBS has already commissioned a second season.

Picard has more adventures

The second season is expected to include ten more episodes, and filming could begin as early as spring. However, the series needs a new show runner. Because Michael Chabon will take care of the series "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay" in 2020 and will only act as a consultant for Star Trek: Picard. Who is taking his place is currently unclear.

Maybe in season two of Star Trek: Picard we'll see more of the old companions of the former captain of the USS Enterprise. For season one, Jonathan Frakes (Will Riker), Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi), Brent Spiner (Data) and Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine) have already been confirmed. In season two we may find out what became of Worf, Geordi LaForge and the other crew members of the Enterprise.
