CBS has confirmed once again that the series Star Trek: Picard is getting a second season and has also announced the new showrunner. Michael Chabon will take care of a new series "The Adventures of Kavalier & Clay" in the future and is no longer available.
In a few days we can experience the new adventures of Jean-Luc Picard, the one in the series Star Trek: Picard is no longer part of Starfleet. We don't get to see the former captain of the Enterprise for just ten episodes, because the TV station CBS has already commissioned a second season. However, this gets a new showrunner.
Season 2 is coming
Terry Matalas, who developed the TV series for the movie 12 Monkeys, is responsible for the second season of Star Trek: Picard. The previous showrunner Michael Chabon will develop a new series with "The Adventures of Kavalier & Clay". The second season of Star Trek: Picard could already be seen in the coming year. But first of all it's Season 1.
In this we see a Jean-Luc Picard who basically has nothing to do with Starfleet, which he believes has changed a lot. A terrorist attack on Mars has rethought and Picard has no place in this new future. But since a young woman needs his help, he sets out privately to uncover a secret.
Star Trek: Picard launches on Amazon Prime on January 24th.
