The future of Star Trek looks very bright with several series, which also makes some actors express their interest in maybe slipping into an old role again.

Attention! Here are potential spoilers!

Actor John de Lancie played an important role in the series Star Trek: The Next Century. As the "omnipotent" Q, he appeared again and again to make life difficult for the crew of the USS Enterprise and especially Jean-Luc Picard. But it has been quiet around Q for a long time. However, that might change. Because John de Lancie gave a hint that we could get to see more of him in Star Trek. So is Q returning?

“A voice behind my shoulder said,“ You have no idea what you're getting yourself into. ”It was Gene Roddenberry and I was like,“ What are you talking about? ”He said,“ Oh, you'll find out. ”And here it is, 34 years later, I'll find out. Oh, and by the way, here's a little souvenir … you'll see more of me. Well, Merry Christmas. And let's just keep our fingers crossed that 2021 is better It just has to be better than 2020, "said the actor in a Star Trek podcast.

Maybe we meet Q again in the second season of Star Trek: Picard? Or does he appear in Star Trek: Discovery or maybe one of the other series? He had a small guest appearance in Star Trek: Lower Decks, but John de Lancie explicitly said that we would see more of him, in Lower Decks he just lent the drawn Q his voice. Another meeting between Q and Picard would be very interesting.
