Caution! Spoilers follow here!
The first information on the upcoming novel was made public on Sunday. The information indicates that Emperor Palpatine is a clone. New information has now emerged regarding the relationship between Rey and Ben. It is specifically the final moment between Rey and Ben. After fighting the Emperor, the last two words swap words before kissing and Ben Solo dies. In the novel, the last encounter between the two characters ends a little differently.
In the book, after Ben's death, Rey hears his voice again, which assures her that he will always be with her. She then replies that "No one's ever really gone". While the romance between Rey and Ben quickly ended in the film, the book leaves the fans more forgiving and creates a more intimate relationship between the two characters. In addition, Ben's last words, which he uses to speak to Rey, are a reference to Luke's short cameo in Episode 9: The Rise of Skywalker.
So although the novel has not yet been released, it already provides answers to some of the film's many open questions. It remains to be seen which questions the novel can still answer and whether it leaves viewers as forgiving as Rey and Ben.
