Jason Isaacs sat in the command chair of the spaceship as Captain Lorca in the series Star Trek: Discovery. Now he would like to appear in a live action series on Star Wars.

Jason Isaacs is not a blank slate in Star Wars. In the US version of the series Rebels, he lent the Grand Inquisitor his voice. And that is exactly the role he would like to return to. "I don't want to just show up so I can take some pictures and go to conventions. I would love to play roles. The Inquisitor was a great role when I played it, and if the Inquisitor came back I would be ready for it . I'm not sure I have the patience of Doug Jones, who plays Saru in Discovery, who was the creature in The Shape of Water and all that. I don't know how many hours I want to spend in the mask. But yeah, Katee (Sackhoff) had a very good time. I know Katee and I have to say I loved being part of the Star Wars world. They invited me even though I was only an animated character so far ", said Isaacs in an interview with Collider.
The Grand Inquisitor died in the first season of Star Wars: Rebels, but that doesn't mean much in Star Wars. Authors can always come up with ideas to revive a figure that is actually dead. It is quite possible that he might reappear after all and then hunt down the heroes in the series Star Wars: Obi-Wan or Star Wars: Andor. Isaacs also said: "I'm a little reluctant, because it could happen, I suppose."
