Star Wars is coming to The Sims 4 in a few days: Electronic Arts has announced "Reise nach Batuu", a new add-on for the popular life simulation, for September 8th. The debut trailer a few days ago is followed by the first gameplay video with an extensive preview of the Star Wars expansion. In the trailer below, you can get a preview of the new features that the add-on brings to The Sims 4. In the video, you take a look at a journey within the world of Batuu, which leads you to authentic locations – together with a soundscape based on the film series. You'll also meet legendary characters like Rey and Kylo Ren.
In the Star Wars expansion for The Sims 4, you can socialize with locals to learn background details about the groupings. The Resistance, First Order, and the villains want to take control of the Black Spire outpost. As a player, you determine who will be successful. Sims can support Rey and Vi Moradi from the Resistance, ally with the First Order under Supreme Leader Kylo Ren, or earn credits with Hondo Ohnaka and the villains. During the adventure you will unlock legendary artifacts, equipment, new outfits and story missions.
On Batuu you can also create a lightsaber in The Sims 4, design your own droid and fly with legendary starfighters. If you return from the Star Wars universe to your regular home, you can take items such as the lightsaber, the droid, new artifacts, decorations and recipes with you. As a little pastime you play a game of sabacc. The add-on appears on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
