Update: We learned that the PS5 version of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has now been spotted on sale in an Expert store. According to this, some dealers have apparently already been supplied with the copies of the action role-playing game. Rumors about a release on Friday should therefore be true. A confirmation from Electronic Arts should come shortly.

Original message: In late April, Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment announced a next-gen version of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order for PS5 and Xbox Series X / S. Now the game could surprisingly appear shortly. A current report by TheGamer states that the PS5 version will not only be presented on Friday, but also released. Why the offshoot for Xbox Series X / S is not mentioned is still unclear.

According to EA, all previous owners of the title will receive the upcoming upgrade for free. The makers have announced numerous technical improvements for the next-gen version. The Respawn Entertainment team has not yet gone into detail. In addition to the digital edition, the game will apparently also go on sale in physical form. The report also does not reveal the form in which those responsible will announce the game. On Friday, however, the Summer Game Fest started, which the day before with an opening event will bring about several new announcements.
