The production of the Star Wars series around Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi was plagued by some problems. But actor Ewan McGregor now spoke about the imminent start of shooting.
After the Star Wars series around Jedi master Obi-Wan Kenobi got a new scriptwriter in the spring, it was quiet for a long time in terms of production. But progress has now been made.
Shooting will start soon
The actor told the Entertainment Tonight website that filming for the series should begin in early 2021. "We'll start in the spring of next year," he revealed about the production plans. "I'm really excited. It's going to be great I think."
Ewan McGregor also stated that, according to his information, only a single season of the series is planned. "As far as I know, this is a standalone season," he said. "We'll see. Who knows?"
That could mean that the actor would also be interested in filming more than just one season of the Obi Wan series. And should it succeed, it would not be surprising if Disney would consider another season. At the moment, however, it is a mini-series, the plot of which will probably be completed after the episodes. Of course, this does not mean that Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi could not experience further adventures during his time in exile on the planet Tatooine …
What the series is about is not yet known. According to rumors, Kenobi could leave Tatooine, as children are allegedly wanted to play Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia at a young age. If Obi-Wan meets Leia, then it is conceivable that he might travel to the planet Alderaan, where Leia lived at the time.
