It seems like a follow-up series to Star Wars Rebels is in the works. This should revolve around Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren.
The series Star Wars Rebels ended with a cliffhanger that could now be resolved in a follow-up series.
Caution! Here are potential spoilers!
In the last episode of Star Wars Rebels, Ezra Bridger and Grand Admiral Thrawn were brought from hyperspace by whale-like Purrgil through hyperspace to an unknown galaxy. The threat from Thrawn was stopped, but Ezra Bridger disappeared. In the last scene, one saw a returned Ahsoka Tano, who, after the destruction of the Second Death Star and the Empire, set out with Sabine Wren to search for Ezra. So it could be that we will see him and probably also Grand Admiral Thrawn again. It would also be interesting to know what Ahsoka Tano was doing when the rebellion was fighting the empire. As an ex-Jedi, she could certainly have supported Luke Skywalker well.
The new series is said to be about the search for Ezra. Ahsoka and Sabine should be the focus. Rebels show runner Dave Filoni is said to be on board again – this time probably only as a consultant, since he works on The Mandalorian. The first season of the still nameless series will apparently be seen later this year. Disney has not yet confirmed these rumors.
