Star Wars is much more than the nine films in the Skywalker saga. But when do the series The Mandalorian and Clone Wars play? A Disney graphic timeline explains it.
The new episodes of the series are currently running in Germany Starwars: The Mandalorian and Clone Wars on Disney +. But where do you put them in the timeline of the space saga?
The Star Wars timeline
Disney has released a timeline that allows everyone to see exactly which series and which movie is playing. According to this timeline, we see that the cartoon series The Clone Wars plays in the three years between Star Wars: Episode 2 – Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode 3 – Revenge of the Sith – partly also in parallel with the third film.
After episode 3, the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series will be based, as will the spin-off Solo: A Star Wars Story, the new Star Wars: Rogue One series, and the Star Wars: Rebels cartoon series. The spin-off Rogue One: A Star Wars Story also takes place shortly before episode 4.
As for The Mandalorian, the series is based around 5 years after Star Wars: Episode 6 – The Return of the Jedi. We then leap forward 25 years and arrive in the Sequel Trilogy with Star Wars: Episode 7 – The Force Awakens. During this time, the events of the Star Wars: Resistance series take place in parallel.
