According to the production list, filming for the third season of the Star Wars: The Mandalorian series should start on April 5 – if the corona pandemic permits. So we should see the new episodes sometime in 2022. At the end of the year, however, we will experience a spin-off with The Book of Boba Fett.

It could be that we don't see Cara Dune in the new episodes anymore. Actress Gina Carrano gave messages from supporters of the storm on the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. a like on the afternoon of January 6, 2021. That sparked a Twitter movement urging Disney to remove Cara Dune from The Mandalorian, or at least fill the role with a new actress.
It would be entirely conceivable that Disney would comply, since such behavior is basically unsustainable for a family-friendly company. Should Cara Dune no longer appear in The Mandalorian, this would also have serious consequences for the planned Star Wars series "Rangers of the New Republic", in which she should take on a larger role.
It can be ruled out that Cara Dune might find her death in Season 3 of The Mandalorian. Should Disney separate from the actress and remove Cara Dune from the story, then probably without a corresponding ending. She should then simply not appear again – or we just hear about her passing. We'll see if this happens.
What Season 3 of Star Wars: The Mandalorian is about is still unclear. Some fans suspect that we will experience the liberation of Mandalore, in which Din Djarin participates together with Bo Katan. This could be very interesting as there was already tension between Bo and Din.
