Stealth is more important than expected

Are Vikings hiding and attacking their opponents from the shadows? Actually, one thinks that the mighty warriors rush forward briskly and mow everything down regardless of losses. In Assassin's Creed Valhalla but it's a little different.

Stealth becomes as important as in the early days of Assassin's Creed

Especially in the first games of the Assassin's Creed series, it was necessary to mingle with the people unnoticed and to hide with the hood in a crowd so that the victim did not notice you. After all, you played an assassin, an assassin who wanted to remain undetected. This has been put into perspective in the later games of the series, especially with Assassin's Creed Valhalla (buy now for 58.48 €) previous videos and information gave the impression that hero Eivor was just fighting straight away.

As Level Design Director Laurence Letalie explains in an interview with Gamespot, this is not the case at all: "We are bringing back social camouflage in many of our quests and in many parts of our world. We have this disguise mechanism where you put on the hood You can put them in different places where you want to integrate more to be discovered less, and it's a mechanism that can be used for social camouflage between crowds. We also bring back the monks' social camouflage who walk around you and with whom you can mingle ".

Camouflage and stealth are said to be an important part of AC Valhalla and more towards the first games in the series. "Stealth was a super important part for us that we had to bring back and focus on," said Letalien. "And we both have approaches … the demo was a bit more action-packed, but before the raid, before you called your crew, you could be on your own and secretly kill enemies."

With AC Valhalla, Stealth is returning as an important part of the gameplay. We'll find out how that works on November 17, when the action RPG for PC, PS4 and Xbox One is released.
