Outriders: New loot shooter takes Steam by storm

A few weeks ago Valheim was still the undisputed number 1 of the Steam-Charts, now a new king has taken the steam crown: Outriders. The next-gen shooter from People Can Fly will not appear until April 1, 2021, but can be pre-ordered on Steam at a price of 59.99 euros. A free demo is also offered to undecided players to try it out, the progress of the game can be transferred to the main game.

Outriders is a third-person shooter with role-playing elements. Players can go to the beginning 4 different classes who all have unique skills. The loot shooter can be used alone or in Co-op with friends be played. In contrast to the just discontinued Anthem, Outriders should not be a live service game. According to the developers, the game tells a completed storyline.

Speaking of the plot, what is Outriders all about? After numerous natural disasters and military conflicts on earth, a coalition of state organizations and multinational corporations decided to give up the planet and reunite it Colonization program in space to start. Outriders will be released on April 1, 2021 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and Google Stadia. Xbox Game Pass subscribers can look forward to the fact that Outriders will be part of Microsoft’s game subscription right from the launch.
