The Capcom team will now deal with Street Fighter V's age-old netcode error. On Twitter, Yoshinori Ono confirmed that the creators are currently taking a look at the problem. The netcode error has been part of the fighting game for more than four years. By the way, the next re-release of Street Fighter V will be released in stores today, the Champion Edition.
Earlier this year, we reported a netcode bug in Street Fighter V that has been plaguing the fighting game for more than four years. Finally, a Reddit user took on the problem and made a fix available within just two days that prevents the so-called "one-sided rollback" on the PC. With this error, the game runs completely smoothly for one user, while there are strong lags on the screen of the other player. Especially in a beat'em up like Street Fighter V (buy now for € 32.19) a fair fight becomes impossible.
Even though many fans have given up hope of an official fix after four years, there is now positive news from Capcom. As Yoshinori Ono revealed on Twitter, the team is currently busy with the netcode. In the near future, the creators want to publish new information. So it looks very much as if the error will actually be a thing of the past in the future. We will keep you up to date if there are further details on the topic.
Incidentally, this Friday Capcom also released the Street Fighter V: Champion Edition in stores. The re-release of the fighting game can be purchased either physically or digitally as an upgrade. The new version contains all the content of the main game and the Arcade Edition. These are 40 characters, 34 stages and over 200 outfits. Something was also tweaked on the combat system.
