Successor in the works, according to Insider
After Microsoft took over Bethesda last year, fans are once again hoping for a return from Fallout: New Vegas. The offshoot of the series was published in 2010 and was created by the development studio Obsidian Entertainment, which has also been part of Microsoft since the end of 2018.
Insider Tyler McVicker now claims in a video to have first information about a sequel to Fallout: New Vegas. The insider made a name for himself in the past with the "Valve News Network", where he regularly revealed correct details about Valve games. Most recently, he presented tons of information about Half Life: Alyx in advance of the announcement. Now Tyler McVicker has put his Valve News Network on hold and wants to talk about games from other publishers and developers. We will only see in the future whether his sources are so reliable here as well. He currently expects the release of Fallout: New Vegas 2 in the second half of this decade.
In his current video, Tyler McVicker also claims to have details about other titles. This includes information on Nintendo's plans for the "Super Switch" as well as announcements of new games from Mario and The Legend of Zelda. The insider also wants to know something about the latest Obsidian project, Awowed, and the DLC from The Outer Worlds. In addition to the release estimate for New Vegas 2, McVicker expects Starfield in the next one to two years, The Elder Scrolls 6 in 2026 or 2027 and Fallout 5 not until 2030 or later.
