Actually planned as a big announcement at E3 on the 35th birthday of the franchise, there are numerous reports on switch remasters from various Super Mario games.
The Nintendo Switch should get some remasters of the Super Mario franchise in the future. The games come from the Nintendo 64, GameCube, Wii and Wii U platforms and are scheduled to appear as part of the celebrations for Super Mario's 35th birthday, sources say VGC, Eurogamer and Gematsu.
The games are said to be remastered versions of Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy act. Furthermore, one Deluxe version of Super Mario 3D World worked that should contain some new levels. Also in development should new part of the Paper Mario series be.
According to the reports, an announcement was planned for E3 2020. There is no official statement from Nintendo yet.
Some of the old 2D Mario games are already playable with the Switch. The classic platformer Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario World are included in a Nintendo Switch online subscription, for example.
