At this year’s E3, Feedom Games announced their classic-inspired, turn-based tactical role-playing game Dark Deity. Unlike many other manufacturers, who gave vague release dates such as “2022”, they published their title directly. The game is currently through a Discount promotion on Steam for 16.79 euros. Many players have already taken advantage of this and have probably not made a bad buy, as currently 82% of the almost 450 user reviews are positive in nature.
The story of Dark Deity revolves around recruits Irving, Garrick, Maren, and Aiden, who complete their training at Brookstead Military Academy. The quartet is thrown into a complex war and, in typical genre fashion, has to save the world of Terrazael. The campaign should offer 28 chapters, with over 50 unlockable classes and a complete soundtrack of the 30 playable characters. These fulfill the typical fantasy roles such as archer, warrior, and magician and can also suffer permadeath in the course of the campaign. Depending on the composition of the characters and their relationships, there should be more than 450 different dialogue variations.
In addition to the normal version, there is also a deluxe edition for currently 25.35 euros, which includes the soundtrack and a digital artbook. You can find more information about the title on the official site of the game.
