The Taipei Game Show should have taken place in Taipei, Taiwan, February 6-9. The corona virus, however, thwarts these plans. The show should only start in the summer.

The Taipei Game Show would have been very interesting this year since many interesting games should have been shown. These include Cyberpunk 2077, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, The Last of Us Part 2 and Elden Ring. However, the start date now had to be postponed.

Corona virus ensures postponement of large gaming event

The date of the Taipei Game Show was moved from February 6th to summer at very short notice. There is currently no exact date. The World Health Organization has classified the outbreak of the corona virus as a global emergency. Therefore, the organizers of the Taipei Game Show have decided that the event will not take place as planned.

It is the second largest Asian gaming event after the Tokyo Game Show and is therefore also an important event. Since a lot of money has certainly flowed into the organization, the organizers certainly didn't make this decision lightly. The health of exhibitors and visitors is the top priority.
