As part of Take-Two Interactive’s new earnings release, the parent company of Rockstar Games and 2K Games announced that they are postponing two of their “Core Immersive” titles. These unknown games will now be released at a later date in fiscal year 2022 than previously assumed.
Take-Two did not disclose what the exact title was. One of these “Core Immersive” titles, however, belongs to their 2K games label. This could mean the new BioShock, but nothing has been confirmed so far.
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick also recently stated that there is likely no need to postpone any other announced titles. In addition, he stated that these two unknown titles have only been postponed so that the developers can do some final fine-tuning. The current Covid pandemic had nothing to do with this, as, according to him, teams could work very efficiently from home.
Take-Two interactive also stated that Grand Theft Auto V has now been able to deliver 150 million units to retailers and that GTA Online continues to set records. GTA V is supposed to as already known will also be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S in November, which will probably push these numbers up again.
