Technical improvements are designed to outperform progress from Morrowind to Oblivion
Bethesda’s Todd Howard revealed new details about Starfield in an interview. The company's long-awaited sci-fi project was announced in 2018. There is no release yet. According to Howard, the creation engine for the game should have been more than extensively revised. Accordingly, fans can look forward to a major technical step compared to previous games.
With the new engine, the jump from Morrowind to Oblivion should be surpassed again. Especially things like AI, rendering or animation should benefit from the revised graphics engine. In addition to Starfield, The Elder Scrolls VI is also developed using the Creation Engine. Todd Howard also confirmed that Starfield is a pure single player title. A multiplayer component is therefore not provided. In addition, the release should also be in the distant future. The Bethesda boss does not want to show new material until shortly before the end of development. We will keep you up to date with further information on the Sci-Fi RPG.
It is also currently unclear whether Starfield and The Elder Scrolls VI will be released for PlayStation. After Microsoft took over ZeniMax Studios for $ 7.5 billion, there have been no official details on the matter. Todd Howard himself has a hard time imagining an Xbox exclusivity right now. Both titles will also land in the Xbox Game Pass.
