In August, the developers of Tera released a comprehensive update that gave the online role-playing game a 64-bit client and some new content. You will find all the details in the message.

The Online role-playing game Tera has been under her belt for a few years, here in Europe the adventure in Arborea appeared in May 2012. No wonder that the technology scaffolding under the MMORPG has become a little dusty.

On the official website of Tera The developers announced a few days ago that the necessary modernization of the client was imminent. The system is to be upgraded from 32 to 64 bit in August. In addition, there should also be new content.

New system requirements from Tera

Upgrading to 64-bit will change the game's system requirements. The following requirements apply with Patch 97:

Current from patch 97
operating system Win 7, 8, 8.1, 10 (64-bit) Windows 10 (64-bit)
processor Intel i5 3570 / AMD FX 6350 Intel i5 7500 / AMD Ryzen 7-1700
graphic card Geforce GTS 450 / Radeon HD 4890 1 GB Geforce GTX 970 / Radeon RX 380
R.A.M. 8 GB 12 GB
DirectX version 9 11
Storage space 60 GB 80 GB

Overview of improvements
These improvements are the main components of the new client:

  • The 64-bit client enables more than 4 GB of RAM to be used
    • The currently known "RAM Client Crashes" will for the most part be a thing of the past!
  • DirectX11
    • The rendering of graphics can run over several processor cores, which improves the stability and performance of the game
  • Asynchronous loading
    • Different elements from TERA (buy now) are now loaded independently of each other
    • As a result, the game is no longer briefly frozen, for example, when an interface element (e.g. the inventory) is loaded

These are just a few items that have been improved. Many other small and large changes make TERA more powerful and stable overall.

The new 20-player raid "Mahrnak – the primus"

Part of the update will also be a new 20 player dungeon. In the Legate Residence, Mahrnak challenges you once a week (2x for club members). Admission costs 300 adventure gold and is only possible on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays (each from 00:00 to 23:59 CEST).

Look forward to new rewards, including new engravings (Tier II or IV) for brooches and the new scrolls to change options on your equipment called Unstable Shift Vellum!

New RK-9 hangar (difficult)

In addition to the new dungeon for 20-player battle groups, the RK-9 hangar comes back into play as a new difficult dungeon – with one entry per day (2x for club members)!

Venture in as a group of 5 players and face Ventaron, Hexapleion and the angry RK-9! Here, too, you will be rewarded with engravings and the unstable transformation vellum.
More innovations
Further improvements and innovations concern the following areas:

  • Group search for several battlefields at the same time
  • 2 additional training dungeons
  • Simplified skill finesse
  • New scrolls to change equipment options
  • UI and display improvements

Further details will then be available in the official patch notes for Update 97.
